My name is Karli Slater - I am the owner of Sugar Gecko Aesthetics in Downtown Renton and I am thrilled to be your beauty bestie! My love for skincare began as a young child, when my time was spent in the kitchen making strange concoctions to put on my face and hair. In 2016, I started aesthetics school at the Euro Institute of Skincare in Fairwood, WA after graduating high school and college - I knew I was finally in the right place.

Fast forward six years and I am unexpectedly starting my own business! The shallow and competitive nature of the beauty industry started to deteriorate my mental health - I felt bullied and pressured by managers to look, talk and act a different way in order to be “one of the pretty girls.”

My goal is to reinvent the beauty industry the way body positive womens clothing brands have - not forcing cheap products or bullsh** promises on you. Just real, simple, time-saving beauty to enhance your life and remind you what beautiful means to you.
